Those ghost cities are eerie existing as they are in the world’s most populous nation. The mind reels.
But this comment is actually an acknowledgment of your Joe Bageant post. Joe, RAW, and others are an antidote to the steady stream of puff and now they are both dead.
In a different vein I also felt the loss of Stephen Jay Gould, another who could shine new light on old topics. I believe cancer took him early too.
